The consultation to skin plan checklist
Everything that has to happen between a new client booking and her leaving with a dated six visit plan and a home routine she will follow.
A first consultation is the highest value twenty minutes in an esthetics practice and the easiest to run inconsistently. On a good day you screen properly, look under the magnifier, ask about her last three months of products and land a plan. On a busy day you talk about her wedding, do a lovely facial and never mention visit two.
This checklist is the version to keep on the counter until it becomes habit. It runs in four stages, from what happens before she arrives to the checkpoint at day fourteen, and every item names what good looks like rather than just telling you to do it. Print it, mark it up, and cut whatever does not match your protocols or your state board rules.

How to use it
Use this once as a script and twice as a reminder, then let it become the shape of how you consult. Most estheticians find two or three items on the list are the ones they always skip when the day runs late, and those are usually the ones that decide whether a client finishes a series. Mark them and defend them.
The list also works as an audit of a book that is not rebooking. Take five clients from the last two months who never came back for visit two and walk their consultation against these stages. The missing step is rarely the treatment itself; it is almost always the dates, the home routine or the day fourteen checkpoint.

Questions about this document
Can I use this if I do not sell six visit series yet?
Yes. The first two stages stand alone as a better consultation for any esthetician, whatever you sell at the end of it. The plan stages give you a structure to test on two or three clients before you decide whether series work suits your book.
Does this replace my intake and consent paperwork?
No. It is a working practice checklist, not a legal form. Your state board record keeping requirements, your consent forms and whatever your insurer expects still apply, and you should keep those in whatever form you already use.
How is this different from what GlowIntake does?
The checklist is the manual version of the same workflow, and it works on paper with nothing else involved. GlowIntake runs it for you: the intake goes out ahead of the visit, conditions stack visit over visit, and the dated home product schedule is sent to the client automatically.
The consultation checklist, run for you every time
Working the four stages by hand takes a printed sheet and the discipline to reach for it on a day that started late. GlowIntake sends the intake out ahead of the appointment, keeps the baseline you record under magnification, and puts the day fourteen checkpoint and the dated home routine out without you remembering to. Book a demo and we will walk one new client consultation through it.
